What we collect

  • Prompts you submit: sent to our processor DeepSeek to generate builds.
  • Email address: only if you choose to provide it.
  • Usage analytics: via PostHog (events, not prompt text).
  • IP address: used transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Affiliate cookies: set by the merchant when you follow a purchase link.

Processors

We share data with sub-processors strictly to operate the Service: DeepSeek (build generation), PostHog (analytics), and our hosting and infrastructure providers.

Cookies and tracking

Two kinds of tracking technology may be set while you use PCSmithy:

  • Analytics: PostHog records anonymous usage events (pages viewed, builds generated). It never receives the text of your prompts.
  • Affiliate attribution: when you follow a purchase link, the merchant and its affiliate networkmay set a cookie so the referral can be credited to us. Where we take part in such a program, that network may be Rakuten Advertising, Amazon Associates, or a merchant's own program. These cookies are set on the merchant's side, not by PCSmithy, and they serve to attribute a purchase, not to profile you across the web.

Your choices. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings at any time, which stops affiliate attribution without affecting your ability to use the Service or to buy from the merchant. Affiliate networks publish their own opt-out pages: see Rakuten Advertising's cookie and tracking technology policy and each merchant's privacy policy. You can also use your browser's Do Not Track or global privacy control signal. To ask us directly about data we hold, write to hello@pcsmithy.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under CCPA (California) and the GDPR (EU/UK), including access, deletion, and opt-out of sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact hello@pcsmithy.com.

If you give us your email, we use it only for the purpose you opted into. Every message includes an unsubscribe link (CAN-SPAM).

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete it.
